This paper contributes to an old and still unresolved question in the theory of organizations, namely, what do bosses do? Whether extent managerial functions are productive or not for well functioning organization has be understood with respect tension between knowledge power. Here, we start addressing such a reference very nature organizations. Next, discuss its historical unfolding two archetypical organizational modes production, Taylorism Toyotism. Third, these configurations studied by means model organizations populated three sets agents, workers, managers, principal, endowed different attributes functions. The fitness alternative setups is under diverse degrees complexity landscape.
